There is (มี) ใช้กับคำนามเอกพจน์(Singular nouns)

There are = มี
There are (มี) ใช้กับคำนามพหูพจน์(Plural nouns)
ตัวอย่าง
There are many fruits on the table.
There are three cups of coffee.
There are two cars at the corner.

There is/There are ในประโยคคำถาม
รูปแบบ Is,Are + there................?
เมื่อ ต้องการจะเปลี่ยนรูปแบบประโยค there is/there are ให้เป็นประโยคคำถาม ให้สลับตำแหน่งด้วยการนำ Is/Are มาไว้หน้า there แล้วใส่เครื่องหมาย ?(Question mark)

การตอบประโยคคำถาม Is there........?/Are there.........?
การ ตอบประโยคคำถาม Is there และ Are there จะตอบด้วย Yes หรือ No ถ้าตอบด้วย Yes ต้องตามด้วยประโยคบอกเล่า ถ้าตอบด้วย No ต้องตามด้วยประโยคปฏิเสธ
